I was humbled to be asked by the good folks at PSFK in New York to bring their Good Ideas Salon to Vancouver.
Not only because of the great thinking the PSFK folks bring to bear but also as a rare born and raised Vancouverite I'm a huge champion of the amazing work so many folks are busy doing in their own little world's in and around this city. Often so busy they rarely talk publicly and so it will be a delight to give these great minds a global stage. Matt, the Aesthetic Poetic is pairing up to make it happen in YVR.
The Good Ideas Salon is for lateral thinkers and focuses on trends and innovation; the big sweeping generational shifts and evolutions of industry, commerce and humanity. Unlike Interesting Vancouver this will be a marketing type affair. The focus, as the name implies, is based on good ideas that move our industry and world forward.
Each event focuses on a theme from innovation, collaboration, social media, design to mobile. We will bring a panel of three thought leaders, our curation will pull from the big/small, local/global, corporate/independent worlds to provide a dynamic discussion.
Held the third Tuesday of every month we are delighted the first event will be held on March 17 at Workspace in Gastown for some early in the eve St. Paddy's day thinking. We are excited to see what our guests have to say:
Rob Newell \ Director of Planning \\ DDB Canada
Steve Pratt \ Director \\ CBC Radio 3
Grace Carter \ Media Specialist \\ Invoke Media
