Tomorrow marks the start of the greatest work month of the year. Every morning for three weeks, those living on the West Coast have the privilege of being able to watch live Tour de France coverage and make it to work on time as the winner usually crosses the line around 8:30.
Note to self, no early meetings...
The Tour is such a grand feat it's hard to actually fathom what it's like completing one stage let alone 21. The New York times which has a great bi weekly sport focused digital magazine called Play which also publishes quarterly. They sent one of their writers to try a mountain stage - so enjoy the tour in a new way thanks to his sufferance in The Climb, How Hard Can it Be.
