Ripoff?

A genre of YouTube films dissecting popular music highlighting possible plagerism is forming.

Make me ponder whether we are on the verge of a reshaping how society looks at creativity.  More artists or creative folks understand their work is an evolution or existing work.  It is a new and fresh derivative of what came before it.  So, if Coldplay is open to publicly stating being inspired by other bands, rather than put up the veil of magic musical hit minting talent or secret hit factory machine, are they simply being honest?  No doubt the lawyers aren't too happy about it.

And, for the record, opening up myself to the critics and disdain from the  oh so cool I hate everything popular types, I will go on the record stating I like the new Coldplay album.  Been listening to it all day.  See you at the concert.
