I was never a fan of the Kleenex Let It Out campaign as noted here. This Punked video by Greenpeace is fantastic. I wonder if Kleenex, or Kimberly Clarke realize that the folks at Greenpeace aren't against them and their product but trying to help them make a product better for their consumers and their world. This is just the latest example of modern transparency and how individual consumers or interest groups can get the real story out to the public.
Blogging of late has been slow due to work travel. Was a great journey, saw a lot of neat things, some great ads, met some great ad folks and had a look at how this industry in changing by the minute, and how so much of what we are build on continues to be immovable, just the delivery or wrapping of it changes.
Blogging for Think Small will be taking a bit of a summer hiatus. I will continue to use this as my digital scrapbook, but am focusing on some dead timber (aka newspapers & magazine) writing projects. And, truthfully, as for dialog and interaction with other ad folks around the world which was all part of my motivation ever since Russel stopped frequently blogging, the plannershere wiki started and the social network started the interaction seems to have lost it's steam. Maybe everything that needed to be said has been said.
Anyways, I'll try to keep at least one post a week. Which probably is a good thing as fewer posts should mean better quality. Guess we'll see about that.
